NEXTGEN BAR EXAMINATION

On November 17, 2025, New Jersey Courts posted the following Notice - Supreme Court Adopts the "NextGen" Uniform Bar Examination - First Administration in July 2028. 

On June 6, 2025, New Jersey Courts posted the following Notice – Report of the Supreme Court Ad Hoc Committee on the "NextGen" Bar Examination – Comments Sought (Comments Requested by July 7, 2025).

On February 19, 2025, New Jersey Courts posted the following Notice to the Bar. The New Jersey Supreme Court’s formed the Supreme Court Ad Hoc Committee on the “NextGen” Bar Examination which is under the leadership of Justice Jaynee LaVecchia (retired) as Chair. The Ad Hoc Committee is charged with reviewing and recommending to the Court whether New Jersey should adopt the NextGen exam as a replacement for the state’s existing bar examination format.
