Uniform Bar Examination Reciprocal Jurisdictions

You will find a complete list of jurisdictions that have adopted the Uniform Bar Examination (UBE) at: UBE States | UBE Jurisdictions | NCBE (ncbex.org).

Applicants who wish to transfer a UBE score earned in a UBE jurisdiction must have earned a qualifying UBE score within 36 months of taking the UBE examination. Additionally, all other requirements for plenary admission to the New Jersey bar, per Rule 1:24-1 (Qualifications and requirements for application) and Rule 1:27-1 (Plenary admission) must be met. Please note, this list does not apply if you sat for the October 2020 Remote Bar Exam due to limited reciprocity agreements and the expired score.
